Terms of Service
1. Agreement
By downloading or using Yumlate you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. The Service
Yumlate provides menu scanning, translation, allergen highlights, and related features. AI output can be wrong — always verify allergens and important details with the restaurant. Yumlate is a convenience aid, not an official restaurant ordering system.
3. Accounts & eligibility
You must meet the age requirements in the Privacy Policy (generally 16+ EU / 13+ US). You are responsible for activity under your account. Guest use may be limited (e.g. scan quotas).
4. Acceptable use
Do not misuse the Service (abuse quotas, unlawful scraping, unlawful content, interfere with others, or circumvent security). We may suspend access for abuse.
5. Your content
You retain rights to content you submit. You grant us a licence to process it to operate the Service, including structured menu data that may be shared with other users as described in the Privacy Policy.
6. Shared menus
Translated/structured menus may be shown to other users (including on a future map). New scans are compared to the current menu; we update when content changes.
7. Premium, ads, refunds
Paid plans and ads (if any) follow app store terms and in-app offers. Refunds follow Apple / Google rules where applicable.
Premium accounts are personal. Your Premium entitlement is for your own use (including your own devices). You may not sell, rent, lend, or otherwise commercially redistribute Premium access to others. Everyday sharing of menus and orders with travel companions should use in-app groups / join table — not shared logins. We may suspend accounts for clear commercial abuse.
8. Disclaimer
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS”. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF ACCURACY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. AI TRANSLATIONS AND ALLERGEN HINTS MAY BE INCORRECT.
9. Liability
Nothing excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (including Swedish mandatory consumer law). Otherwise aggregate liability is limited to the greater of amounts paid to us in the 12 months before the claim or EUR 50.
10. Governing law
Swedish law, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
